چکیده
We introduce the sparse direct sampling method (DSM) to estimate properties of a region from signals that probe region. demonstrate sparse-DSM on two separate problems: estimating both angle-of-arrival radio wave impinging an array and location shape inhomogeneity scattered acoustic waves. The is qualitative in nature, so it does not require simulation forward problem solve inverse problem. generalizes older methods, one which has low-resolution reconstructions but uses few measurements high-resolution higher measurement cost. inherits positive qualities both. technique measured simulated examples.

Tv-min and Greedy Pursuit for Constrained Joint Sparsity and Application to Inverse Scattering
This paper proposes a general framework for compressed sensing of constrained joint sparsity (CJS) which includes total variation minimization (TV-min) as an example. The gradientand 2-norm error bounds, independent of the ambient dimension, are derived for the CJS version of Basis Pursuit and Orthogonal Matching Pursuit. As an application the results extend Candès, Romberg and Tao’s proof of e...
متن کاملA Direct Sampling Method for Inverse Electromagnetic Medium Scattering
In this paper, we study the inverse electromagnetic medium scattering problem of estimating the support and shape of medium scatterers from scattered electric/magnetic near-field data. We shall develop a novel direct sampling method based on an analysis of electromagnetic scattering and the behavior of the fundamental solution. It is applicable to a few incident fields and needs only to compute...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...
15 صفحه اولConstrained Inverse Adaptive Cluster Sampling
In adaptive cluster sampling, first proposed by Thompson (1990, 1992) and studied in detail by Thompson and Seber (1996), an initial sample of units is selected and, whenever the value of the variable of interest satisfies a specified condition, neighbouring units are added to the sample. The neighbourhood of a unit may be defined by spatial proximity or, in the case of human population, by soc...
متن کاملMultilevel Linear Sampling Method for Inverse Obstacle Scattering
In this talk, we will be mainly concerned with a novel multilevel linear sampling method (MLSM) for reconstructing the obstacle from its corresponding scattering amplitude. The new method is shown to possess asymptotically optimal computational complexity. For an n×n sampling mesh in R2 or an n×n×n sampling mesh in R3, the proposed algorithm requires to solve only O(nN−1) far-field equations fo...
